Position Foreign policy / Russia-Iran sanctions
“Senator Lindsey Graham and I shared the belief that opposing dictators in defense of freedom and liberty is always the right thing to do. War criminal Putin is losing his invasion of sovereign Ukraine and the threat to humanity posed by the Iranian regime is dire. It is time for Congress to give President Trump the strongest tools available to choke off Russia's war machine for the good of mankind and cripple the ability of Tehran to continue sowing chaos in the region and beyond. My friend and colleague worked tirelessly in championing these critical initiatives, and I am grateful to help advance them across the finish line in the House.”

Position Health care / kidney disease screening
“Kidney disease affects millions of Americans, yet far too many are not diagnosed until it is too late. The PREVENT ESRD Act takes a commonsense approach by encouraging earlier screening, expanding access to proven treatments, and rewarding better outcomes that improve patients' lives while reducing costs for taxpayers. I am grateful to work to help Americans stay healthier and strengthen the future of healthcare. I dedicate this fight to the late Karen Metz, wife of my Chief of Staff Craig Metz, who courageously battled kidney disease.”

Position National defense / NDAA
“Last night, I was grateful to have joined my Republican and Democrat colleagues in passing the FY27 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) -- legislation that advances the national security of America with Peace Through Strength, supports funding for critical missions in the district I represent and around South Carolina, and more. The bill included several provisions I advocated for such as securing the missions at Savannah River Site, continued support for defense research in universities in the Palmetto State, protecting Eisenhower Army Medical Center, and important amendments on foreign affairs issues, including those supporting the people of Ukraine, Syria, Iraq, and the Republic of Georgia.”
