Political lean: words vs. votes (independent AI assessment)
Two separate AI assessments, each shown only one side and never the other — one reads just what they're promising, the other reads just their actual votes — so any gap between the two is an independent signal, not a model grading its own homework.

Position Democracy & Rule of Law
“Today, the president will deliver the State of the Union address, a longstanding tradition for the past 200 years. I will not be attending. We are not living through normal times. Trump is following a well worn authoritarian playbook to undermine and destroy our democracy and our rule of law. He has repeatedly violated the Constitution of the United States and ignored the separation of powers that is at the heart of our Republic. He has deployed troops in our streets and unleashed masked storm troopers inflicting violence against our communities. He has weaponized the federal government to go after his political critics. He has unilaterally raised taxes and declared war on other countries without Congressional approval, in direct contravention of Article I of our Constitution. He has covered up a massive child sex trafficking ring and his name is all over the Epstein files. I cannot in good conscience lend legitimacy to an event that will be used to spread misinformation, gaslight the American people, and further weaken faith in our democracy.”

Position Foreign Policy - Israel & Middle East
“I voted yes on the Massie Amendment because I cannot in good conscience vote to continue the status quo where American taxpayers are subsidizing the wars being waged by Israel under the direction of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. It appears clear that Netanyahu's government is seeking to expand and prolong war in the Middle East, with no interest in abiding by the terms of a two state solution, which has long been the guiding principle for U.S. military and diplomatic efforts in the region. American tax dollars should not be used to bankroll military action by other countries that do not align with the United States' interests and values. I will always stand for the right of Israel to exist and to defend itself, and I will be a staunch vote for the provision of defensive armaments, including components for the Iron Dome, to Israel – which are not affected by this amendment. This amendment would stop Israel from using the Foreign Military Financing program, which provides certain countries with grants or loans to purchase American offensive weapons and equipment. I remain committed to building lasting peace in the Middle East, and fostering security and freedom for Palestinians and Israelis alike.”
