Position Economy/Federal Reserve
“Kevin Warsh is the right pick for Fed Chair. Having previously served on the Federal Reserve's Board of Governors, Mr. Warsh has seen firsthand how to build consensus during times of crisis, both at the Board and the FOMC. As an expert economist, Mr. Warsh will work well with Vice Chair Bowman on the work she's already begun in right-sizing bank regulation and ensuring capital access across the country. Mr. Warsh's work at the Fed, in the private sector, and in the executive branch, make him more than qualified to lead the Board as our banking industry undergoes tremendous innovation. As Chairman of the Task Force on Monetary Policy, Treasury Market Resilience, and Economic Prosperity, I look forward to working alongside him to bolster the American economy.”

Position Federal Spending/Debt Limit
“Last election cycle, Democrats won control of the House, the Senate, and the White House. Since then, instead of working through regular order in a bipartisan, meaningful manner with Republicans, Democrats have chosen the 'go it alone' approach and have laid out a reckless tax and spending plan that will fall on the backs of America's working families and businesses- Congressional Democrats proudly did this once before and are unabashed about spending an additional $3.5 trillion. It should come as no surprise that Republicans would support a clean continuing resolution that includes appropriate disaster relief and necessary Afghan aid but not the irresponsible measure that encourages Congressional Democrats to continue their spending spree. Let's be clear, the last suspension of the debt limit this past August accounted for all the spending that had occurred up to that date. This isn't about Congress' past spending, this is about our future spending. Since Democrats have decided to govern alone, they should be ready lift the debt limit alone. With only nine days before federal government funding runs out, I hope my colleagues drop their political posturing and join House and Senate Republicans in our efforts to ensure that we keep critical programs funded and operational.”

Position National Defense
“Today, the House continued its 63-year tradition of passing a bipartisan agreement to fulfill one of Congress's most important duties: supporting America's service men and women and strengthening our national security. The National Defense Authorization Act bolsters military preparedness and provides needed assistance to military families, all while reining in wasteful spending. The NDAA delivers on our commitment to counter China's malign influence and increase service member pay. Our military serves as the foundation of American freedom. I applaud House Armed Services Committee Chairman Mike Rogers for his tireless efforts in passing this critical legislation.”
