Position Agriculture
“This morning, I was proud to join my colleagues in passing the Farm, Food, and National Security Act of 2026, which included two of my own amendments. I applaud Chairman Thompson for his leadership throughout this process, and I cannot overstate how urgently my district needs this Farm Bill. For the U.S. to be secure, independent, and healthy, we must be able to feed ourselves and keep our food safe, which is just what our nation's farmers do. I recognize this legislation will not be sufficient in meeting the immediate challenges facing producers. I strongly urge my Senate counterparts under Chairman Boozman's leadership to move this Farm Bill as soon as possible.”

Position Government Spending
“I am frustrated that once again we have failed to pass conservative, cost-cutting appropriations bills before the deadline. Speaker Johnson is fighting hard for spending reductions but his hands are full. Shutting down the government in this instance costs the taxpayers even more money – and that is interest-bearing debt we cannot afford.”

Position Taxes/Budget
“I'm proud to support a fiscally responsible budget framework that requires the House of Representatives to find at least $1.5 trillion in taxpayer savings. By supporting this resolution, the House will be able to extend the successful Tax Cuts and Jobs Act from 2017 that lowered taxes for hard-working American families and small businesses. A vote against this bill was a vote in favor of raising taxes on nearly every American family. While I wish that the Senate had formally committed itself to more spending cuts, I trust in our leadership's and in President Trump's ability to convince reticent Senators that cutting wasteful and unnecessary federal spending is part of the mandate the American people have given us.”

Position Trade/Agriculture
“Crawford led a letter, co-signed by 16 other members of Congress, urging U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer to pursue a Section 301 trade investigation aimed at protecting the U.S. rice industry from unfair foreign trade practices.”
