Position Government Funding
“Tonight, I joined my House Republican colleagues to end the longest government shutdown in American history. I want to thank the eight Senate Democrats who put country over politics and joined Republicans to advance a clean continuing resolution. Their votes allowed the House to finally act, sending the funding package to the president's desk to deliver long-overdue relief to families, small businesses and hardworking Americans.”

Position Taxes
“This tax package delivers exactly what the American people voted for in November and puts hardworking American families and small businesses first. While Democrats push the largest tax hike in history, my colleagues on the House Ways and Means Committee and I are delivering real relief for working families, protecting Main Street and restoring economic prosperity. This is commonsense, America First legislation, and I look forward to getting this bill to the President's desk.”
